The list below gives an overview of the studies we performed recently:

Project book Wind energy:

Client:

Ministries of VROM, EZ and LNV

Category:

Technical feasibility study

Abstract:

Bosch & Van Rijn assigned by the ministries of VROM, EZ and LNV interviewed  all the municipalities, provinces and project developers involved in implementation of wind energy projects. The aim was to determine three things: How many MW of wind power will acquire a permit at the end of 2011 in the Netherlands. What are the biggest bottlenecks for installing wind turbines. What are possible trajectories for solving these bottlenecks. This study is public and can be found at the website of VROM.

Near Shore Wind Park, Measuring and Monitoring program:

Client:

Verification commission MEP- Near Shore Wind park (NSW)

Category:

Policy advice

Abstract:

For the Verification commission MEP-NSW, Bosch & Van Rijn in collaboration with Spin Consult performed the first yearly audit for the MEP-NSW from  the project developer Noordzeewind. The verification commission is an institution that was founded by the ministry of EZ, that observes if the measuring program for wind energy at sea is performed according to plan. This measuring program should deliver knowledge about optimal exploitation of wind energy at sea in the future. The study shows that the project developer Noordzeewind  holds a position of power compared to the other stakeholders, and recommendations are given in order to change the protocols that are used. (Main contractors of Noordzeewind are Shell and NUON.)

Wind energy study Alphen aan de Rijn:

Client:

Municipality of Alphen aan de Rijn

Category:

Technical feasibility study

Abstract:

The municipality wanted to gain insight in the opportunities and constraints for wind energy in general and specifically for a location south of the road, N11. Requested by the municipality Alphen aan de Rijn, the location was assigned as research site by the Province of Zuid-Holland.

For  the research location Bosch & Van Rijn selected several different spatial patterns of wind turbine installation. The total number of wind turbines to install was six. Than a “road map” was constructed towards actual implementation of the wind turbines.
